The World Health Organization (WHO) launched a report titled “WHO Guidance on the Ethics and governance of artificial intelligence for health”, on 28 June 2021. It is the result of 2 years of consultations held by the WHO Expert Group on Ethics and Governance of AI for Health.
During the release meeting held by WHO, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General said: “Like all new technology, artificial intelligence holds enormous potential for improving the health of millions of people around the world, but like all technology it can also be misused and cause harm,”.
